Randall Stephenson and Florentino Pérez sign agreement to support social sports and educational projects.
The Real Madrid Foundation and AT&T* today, for the third year in a row, jointly ratified their agreement to support the foundation´s social sports projects and educational endeavors in Spain and Latin America.
In a ceremony held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Real Madrid Foundation President Florentino Pérez and AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson signed the agreement between the two organizations.
Through this agreement, the Real Madrid Foundation will continue to develop social sports projects in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Peru where the practice of sports is utilized as an educational tool for building cooperation and integration. AT&T’s support for the Real Madrid Foundation Social Sports Schools in Argentina (Gonzalez Catan), Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), México (Oaxaca) and Peru (Lima) directly benefits more than 700 boys and girls, ages 5 to 17, who come from vulnerable, disadvantaged backgrounds. Through the practice of sports, and following Real Madrid Foundation’s methodology, they learn values that complement their regular education and help them achieve a better future.
AT&T has supported the Real Madrid Foundation since the 2016-17 season, helping students receive tutoring, computer training and nutritional support. AT&T´s support also enables the Foundation to produce books and educational materials in five different languages that educators and coaches around the world use to share the Real Madrid Foundation´s Sport for Development methodology.
