PALO ALTO, Calif. — Over the past five years, or so, AT&T has begun to open up its innovation process beyond its labs and to encourage employee participation. Several projects that started as ideas from employees were showcased at an event, Wednesday, at an AT&T Foundry innovation center in Palo Alto. Since 2009, more than 28,000 ideas have been submitted to an online crowdsourced platform called The Innovation Pipeline (TIP), where employees can collaborate and refine ideas.
