Blogger: Masaru Ogawa

Masaru Ogawa is AT&T’s Director of International External and Regulatory Affairs for Japan and South Korea. Based in Tokyo, he is responsible for coordinating AT&T’s regulatory affairs, public policies and government advocacy in the region.
Masaru works closely with AT&T’s diverse business units, and the team of Asia Pacific external and regulatory affairs advocates. In addition to obtaining government approvals to allow AT&T to operate global network business in Japan and South Korea, other responsibilities include efforts towards pro-competitive licensing procedures, reasonable compliance requirements and polices to promote a secure and stable internet with the Internet Economy Task Force in American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
Prior to joining AT&T in 2000, Masaru worked in the international telecommunications business market for British Telecom in Japan, and Japanese international new common carrier since 1991. He has a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the Tokyo University of Science.
